Jason Plankers
CEO
Jason co-founded Imperium Electronics in 2016. His goal? To make home security simpler and more accessible for renters and homeowners. Under his leadership, Imperium Electronics took a simple idea and built a team dedicated to the development, promotion and release of the Sabrelock.
Kim Foster
Chief Technical Officer
Prior to co-founding Imperium Electronics, Kim worked at Lockheed Martin for 35 years as a scientist on the Hubble Space Telescope, and as program manager on the Lunar Prospector and Spritzer Space Telescope. Kim is chair of the Oregon City Chamber of Commerce’s Government Economic Affairs Committee.
Quentin Pierce
Electronics Engineer
Quentin has more than 18 years of experience designing oscilloscope subsystems, writing software CAD tools, and conceiving devices for the Internet of Things (IoT). He worked previously at Tektronix and Intel, and is currently developing the electronics and firmware used to power and operate the Sabrelock.
Ron Peters
Senior Mechanical Engineer
Ron holds multiple patents as an innovator in developing electromechanical systems. He has led development teams in semiconductor capital equipment, consumer electronic device security, and renewable energy solutions, producing
cost-effective, reliable products.
Jack Derington
Director of Marketing and Sales
Jack comes from a diverse background of industrial and consumer product business development. He has built brands in the US and throughout Asia Pacific. Jack lived and worked overseas for 19 years and incorporates that cultural knowledge in his business approach. Brand and storytelling are the foundations he creates to build deep connections with customers.
